Why is there no single fixed price for everything?
Because a content-only website is a different thing from a site with a client portal, an accounting integration and a newsletter module. One fixed amount for both would mean one of the two overpays. I first map out which functionality you need and then give one price that stays put — so you carry no risk of extra work being billed later.
Do you also build custom functionality in Umbraco?
Yes. Alongside a standard Umbraco website I build custom functionality: integrations with your CRM or accounting system, client portals and custom content types. Whatever you need that does not exist yet, I develop alongside it. We discuss this in the advice call so it is part of your price from the start.
Will I really be able to edit my own website?
Yes. I set up Umbraco so you can manage text, photos and pages without technical knowledge. You get a personal training session and a video walkthrough. And if you get stuck, I am one message away.
How quickly is my website live?
A basic website is live within 15 business days of design sign-off. I can commit to that because I work with a modern, heavily automated build process. If custom work is added — integrations, a client portal or bespoke functionality — the timeline differs. You get that timeline together with the quote, so you know where you stand up front.
What if I am not happy?
Then you do not pay — that is the delivery guarantee. You review the design before the build starts, and the site before it goes live.
Is hosting included?
Hosting is a separate service at €39 per month, including daily backups, security patches and monitoring — managed by me, the developer who built your site. You are free to arrange hosting yourself; the website is and stays entirely yours.
Can you also make sure my website brings in more customers?
Yes, with WebBoost (€950 per month). Every month I write two blog articles and one location- or service-focused landing page, optimise your site for Google and for AI assistants, manage your Google Business Profile and measure which pages produce calls and form submissions. You receive a monthly report based on Search Console data. WebBoost comes on top of your hosting or WebCare plan and is available to clients with an Umbraco website I built. Am I tied to Datapad after launch?
No. The website and the code are 100% yours. You can continue with any Umbraco developer — though I am happy to stay your single point of contact.
I am not based in the Netherlands — can you still build my site?
Yes. The advice call, design reviews and training session all happen remotely, so a few hours of timezone overlap is plenty. I invoice in EUR.
